I have no problem with Shakira or her music. I respect her alot. I mean, as Americans, we generally listen to music without proper grammar or with slang anyway, i.e., rap, hip hop. I find it cute the way she uses lyrics. This is just the normal American reaction to anything foreign, twist it into foolishness. Imagine writing your own lyrics in another language, I bet most of you would fail miserably, while she's more than competent.
